I developed Reels Rewired for my major project, a custom coded website that highlights the impact of short form video content on productivity, featuring interviews with students and a vice president of the Student’s Union. The website has been designed to mimic short form content platforms such as TikTok, directly challenging their impact - with the overall aim of highlighting that “reel addiction is real addiction”.
The videos are randomly generated and mixed alongside a ‘TikTok style feed’, creating an immersive and familiar user experience that encourages users to reflect on the effects of these platforms in their own lives.
The website was developed using HTML, CSS and JavaScript and the videos were filmed using a Sony A7IV camera and edited with Premier Pro.
